  • Cannot see underwater in HL

you guys remember that notorious problem with drivers 4.33 where you cant see underwater.... all u see is green?

well its back in 6.04.... i didnt notice it until now cos i play CS and very few maps have water... but today i played rock map in TFC and all i saw was green underwater...

anyone else getting this problem with 6.04.... or am i a special case?

[edit] P.S. this probably only happens with g200

You are supposed to see green under water, your vision is SUPPOSED to be limited there. The effect is called fogging, and some driver revisions this was turned off. Looks like the drivers you are using has them turned on.

I will check and see if there is a way to turn off fogging in the latest G200 ICD, okay?

            Okay,

Here's a shot. If you don't have the latest MTSU (Matrox Tech supp. tweak utility), get it. Then go into opengl and optimize for speed. See if this helps.
