  • Matrox Graphic quality: Open GL or Direct 3d?

    In games such as Half life is better to select OpenGL or D3d mode fot having the best graphic quality?

    Do some screenshots and compare 'em ...

    Or just choose OGL and skip DX, but I didn't check out DX8 for picture quality yet, so there might be a change over DX7.

      d3d kinda smooths the picture out, while in OGL everything is very sharp, and like maggi said, take two screenshots and compare yourself, cos i have no doubt in my mind that results will vary from person-to-perskn
