Could we have a little bit more information? List your IRQs, how does your PC crash, do you have other problems anywhere?

Just made an upgrade from a P 266 to a Duron.

The NFS, and the other game I play Pharaoh started crashing. Did an upgrade to WinMe. Same thing

      Complete reinstall of everything.

Now Pharaoh works but NFS5 crashes at the same place when it starts loading the game.

The crash is more or less like this:

      Install the game .
      Starts running
      Shows Loading message.
Returns to desktop is a different resolution
      Cursors works but no keyboard.
The reboot must be done pushing the button (no ctrl-del).

As for IRQ's I'm at work can't give you that now

Returns to desktop is a different resolution ??

What resolution do you have your desktop on then? If 24bit, try setting it to 16bit or 32bit resolution.

Furthermore, did you use the 3DSetup in the 3DSetup folder in NFS5?

          >Complete reinstall

Reinstall over top, or format & reinstall?

          The former is pretty useless.
Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

            Format and reinstall

In a "listbox" it showed G200.

(Note: Instalation wasn't made by me )
I thinsk it was in 16 bit

Did you check out the FAQ forum / Archives on NFS topics?

Who did the first installation, btw? Can you (in the future, when you get home ) tell us what BIOS your G200 is using?
Do the 3DSetup again, even if it already said your card is a G200.
Check the registry for a couple of things (it is all in the Archives)

Which version of NFS:PU are you using? Is it a cracked game or full release? Did you try to update it from the NFS homepage?

              Enough questions for the moment?

              Jord.

The greyed out box is normal. To set triple bufferng, you have to set it in the registry (link in the FAQ Archive)
