it's pretty good, would prefer a quake/unreal style control method as you can't sidestep etc. the weather day/night cycles are bloody good, not really sure what elst to say about it as i haven't played myst or riven.

Cool! I always really enjoyed Myst and Riven (never had to cheat!) The current PC Gamer has a review of Myst III: Exile which will be available FQ01. Presto Studios.

Dudes, the demo is NICE even if I am into these puzzle games. Very nice! I love the weather changes. Man, I couldn't run the demo at 1280x1024 with 32-bit colors and
anti-aliasing. I ran it at 1024x768 with 16-bit colors and disabled anti-aliasing. But then it is only a test demo.

Were you guys able to do 1280x1024 at 32-bit?

Like the shadows from the moving objects. Quite a cruncher though. I have to run it at 800x600x16 w/ my Max and PIII/450. Hopefully they'll optimize it a bit. I don't know how much of a market there is for a remake of the same game, yet in 3D. I doubt I'll buy it but I am looking forward to Myst III.

It will have free-look navigation system this time. I've now got this set as my wallpaper. You can also check out a trailer here.

I won't get the full version since I am not a puzzle gamer . As for optimization, I am sure there is a lot more to tweak since it is only a test demo.
