am I correct that these drivers won't work with the matrox overclocking utility?

                    A new certified driver !
And it's newer then the latest beta-driver ?
Thats a bit strange, but the driver workes good on my system. Overclocking's still not working...

Well I'm watching a DVD right now in win2k with no bad side effects. I havn't updated the drivers on the 98 side as of yet. I played TFC for a while last night and loved it. The z-buffer is much better.

It seems that turning off VSync with these new drivers is not possible at all?
I've tried both the reghacks and Matrox new TweakUtil, still VSync seems to stay enabled.

I think the V-Sync thing is the price you pay for the drivers being Microsoft-certified.

The registry hacks for powerdesk 5 won't work with powerdesk 6. We'll have to wait for the pd 6 set of reghacks to come out.

Likewise, the Matrox overclocking utility only works with pd 5. Perhaps they will release an updated one for pd 6.

I've been using the pd 6 beta for several weeks now, and I've had no problem at all. So far everything is going OK with the official release of pd 6 for me.

                              The PD5 Reghacks dont' work?
How can I disable the VSync then? Cause you can't really make speed tests on the new drivers against older ones when you can't turn off Vsync...

BTW, QIII (and FAKK2) seems a bit faster in 1024x786x32 here with the new drivers in spite of VSync on while 3DMark2000 gives quite low numbers (2800-2900) - and I'd like to know if this is just because of VSync.
