  • Does it's safe to use the turbo GL?

I want to start practice on quake 3 (yaa i know! You maybe think I was sleeping but no I was working, but i waited so long to play this game)
because i'm going to my friend lan party and i don't want to be a looser!
an i know that the turbu gl can give a great boost on opengl performance but alot off friends told me to not instal it because i'm using the newest drivers (6.11beta) and it wont give me any boost and can be very bugy.
so please tell me if it's true and if it's safe to use the turbo gl ?

With the machine setup that you have I don't see much need in it but if you want to give it a try you should not have any problems.

Turbo GL doesn't give much (if any) performance boost using the latest drivers.
This is because the latest drivers are already much faster than the old PD5.52, which TurboGL was designed to run with.
