Half display size in games, I need help!!!

I only get half display size in games!!
Do you know why??? Please help!!
I have a G400 MAX, DirectX 7.0a, my monitor is already set to the "largest" picture possible. The problem began when i formated and reinstalled everything.

Maybe I'm slow, but I don't understand what you mean by "half display size".

You set the game for "full screen" and it only runs in a window?

Half the game screen is not displayed (cut off)?

You set the game for 1024*768 and it runs in 640*480?

Do you mean one of these or something else?

Could your Display adapter still be set to VGA, or your monitor still to "Plug and Play monitor"?

Also, please give us your system specs, OS and IRQ list... maybe when you reinstalled, something went in the wrong "parking space".
