    I've heard that the CachSizeMegs should be about 75% of your total RAM. I know it was essential for the original Unreal game (reduced disk activity), but may not be as necessary for UT -- but it works good for me set at 100MB.

      Thank you Haig.

      OK so all those skins we added we have to add a ServerPackages for each .int file basically. So here goes, if you could add those to the list it would be great Haig.

      ServerPackages=6Rmko
      ServerPackages=FCommandoFatal
      ServerPackages=TCowMeshSkinsdc
      ServerPackages=TCowMeshSkinsOZUnreal1
      ServerPackages=SoldierSkins_ao
      ServerPackages =SoldierSkins_Apocalypse-1a
      ServerPackages=SoldierSkins_Pun
      ServerPackages=SoldierSkins_Seal
      ServerPackages=SoldierSkins_SL
      ServerPackages=SoldierSkins_SW
      ServerPack ages=SGirlSkins
      I think that's all the skins we added. If you see something we're missing please add it to this post. All you players need those ServerPackages lines in your UnrealTournament.ini file. Add whatever you're missing. These should work fine now.
      See you all on the server with a cool skin hopefully

        Ok,

        I'll do this on Monday. It'll give a chance for anyone to notice something that we may have missed.

        The CacheSize has been at 4 since the begining and we never had any problems until lately with Sprint's server acting up.

        I have 256m on the server. Should I be changing this or leave it alone?

          K cool.
          This is what I found on PlaneUnreal.com "I'd also set the Game Engine cache to 40 mb or 1/2 of your total RAM, whichever is higher. This will reduce swapping to the drive, which will completely destroy your server performance." but then on UnrealCenter they say set it to 3/4 of the total RAM. Just pick one on Monday it can't be worse than the 4 mb it's set on now

              While we're at it, anyone know if UT dedicated server takes advantage of Dual CPU's?

              Our game server is a dual PIII 450 w/256m on NT4/SP4 running on a T3. I haven't done any changes to UT's default settings.

                I don't think so, Haig.

                Reading through Licensing FAQ on http://unreal.epicgames.com/ and following the link from there...

                It's great to find that the FAQs on http://www.planetunreal.com/theadminpage/ aren't working
                (or maybe a NS fluke?)

                Maybe "Setting up UT as a Service under NT 4.0" is something you need?

                Jord, searching further.

                  Hi guys,

                  I just added this setting. Someone try it out and let me know if it's ok.

                    Well I think they work fine. I jumped on but no one was around so I gave Aryss a private show

                    I couldn't get the NaliCows to work but I think that's on my side so if someone else could try those and see if they work that would be great.

                      I just played for a couple of hours on the server. Everything seemed rock-solid for me. Consistant 230 - 280 ping on a "less than stellar" modem/phone line. No hitches or warps (or packet loss).
                      Didn't try any of the skins for myself, but CyberTek was looking particularly fit in his (umm,her) new skin.
