    115 meg!
A couple of weeks ago, I would have balked at the thought.

i'm 17 mins from finishing it, would have taken almost 9 hours to d/l, getting it from fileplanet & have just read that some people have bad downloads of this demo from fileplanet. if mine's buggered, i'm going to have a particularly large swearing fit in about 20mins.

        Don't worry guys, it's worth the 115MB download :P

I 'used' a friend and his DSL to get it though

          I like it
It's obviously built on the Q3 engine, but with a Voyager theme.
Played through the single player demo. Ran great, made me want more.
Played a few rounds of Multi-player on the Internet. Ran Great, made me want more

I think I'll have to get this one....and maybe we can get Haig to run a server if enough of us get it

I agree with Kruzin on this one. This appears to be a keeper. Runs and looks great on a G400.

I seem to be having (and not the only one) visual curruption with the Matrox G400.
Interlacing lines and "purple garbage" Textures... sure, they add a "Twist" to the game, but please, I like the game as it is...
OC or no OC, still problems.
oh, and I am using the 5.2X drivers and the latest BIOS.
(btw, no TurboGL for this game?)

                DataOrb,

This game demo was JUST released. Of course there is no official suppor from turboGL. But I bet that if you copy the opengl32.dll from your Q3A folder into your VEF Demo folder, you will find that it works okay.

I haven't tried it, since I don't need turboGL with the 6.x icd.

The Problems I (and other G400 users) were having with Voyager elite force were posted on this forum:
                  http://www2.ravensoft.com/ubb/Forum14/HTML/000060.html

I REALLY did not like the support guy reply.

"Groovy screen shots! i had heard of troubles but never saw purple hands b4. curious"

Oh REALLY? I did not find it groovy.
well, it's a really nice game, too bad to get it spoild like this...
well, since it's less then 23 hours befor the demo was released, I should not complain... but... well, I goota! or they won't fix it in the "golden" version...

please support me and other G400 users by posting in this thread.
we NEED to show Raven software that the Matrox Community IS BIG, and that they SHOULD fix it...

well the download was fine, the demo is bloody good fun if a little bit short for 115mb.

                    have no problems with it.

well, I think I have isolated the problem.
Turning the texture detail to "High" and not "Very High" has solved the problems...
Now, Quake3 textures at "Very High" Have no problems, so perhpas the issue here is the extensive use of animated textures?

The only graphic change was setting the res to 800x600. My desktop runs at 1024x768x32bit with 32-bit z-buffer turned on. This is using the default ICD.

well, I have upgraded to the PD 6.0 beta drivers and the problem I told had gone away (THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! )
however, there are still some "texture curruption" issues on some locatinos (like the Holodeck after the first mission).
