  • How about another Match [UBF] vs [MU]

June 30th or July 1st are the target dates. Let's pick one and DO IT!!!

Maybe we could make it a 3 Clan Match and get the [MTS] gang involved too.

We UBFs are ready and I hope more will show up this time...We will practice really hard for this match. If we have a 3 clan match, that will be the best thing!

I hope I can join this time ...

Could all you peeps from the american continent pop by a little earlier, cos it pretty exhausting to stay up all night and start fragging @ 5:00 am ... I might be not too focussed at that time ...

I don't suppose that there's the slightest chance that we could play on July 2nd or 3rd? I'm going to be on vacation next week and I'll be getting back on the afternoon of the the 2nd and I really enjoy playing in the matches.
So hows about it? Have some sympathy for me.

                    I'll be there too (Storm_Shadow)...
However let's fix somekind of date.

I agree that MTS and other North Americans should join in a little earlier. After all it is a national holiday on July 1st in Canada and I have a feeling that not many will join if it's late at night... Just my two cents...

Sounds like fun. I can make it either day, but not before 4PM EST (local) on the 30th, and hopefully not TOO early on the 1st, since I have to take my daughter to visit with her grandparents, and may not be back super early that day.

On a related note- has anyone figured out the problem with the MGI server and lag/packet loss that's popped up lately, Haig? Several of us try to show up there practically every evening, but for most of this week it's been kinda flakey. In my case, the ping seems great, but from time to time the server just jumps from 0% packet loss to like nearly 30% (you just have to try to imagine the great fun rounding the same corner 3 times in a row, only to finally find youself over the edge of a cliff, hehe). On the other hand, Kindness has had it spike to like 2500 ping. Is there something else going on on that server of an evening that could cause its bandwidth to drop periodically, maybe? (Seems like the most likely explanation, given my good ping, and the fact that most of us experience problems at the same time, indicating it's on the server side, and not the client side).

Maggi: That processor rulez!! Mine won't boot into Windows at 952, although I did manage 935 long enough for most of my startup apps to load. Then the top 3/4 of my screen went black, and it hung. It did allow me to do a 3-fingered salute, though. So I guess with the case I'm using now (kinda packed mid-tower) 892.5 (896, according th 3DMark2K) is the best I can get stably.

                            Hi Ace,

Our entire website is experiencing the same problem. Looks like every half hour or so, something happens to our lines. We have Sprint looking into this but don't know when it will be fixed.

Found an interesting quote on PlanetUnreal about the upcoming UT Patch.

                              Engine:
                              - fixed creeping pings problem - especially prevalent with passworded servers
                              - improved server CPU utilization
                              - improved prioritization of network traffic for low bandwidth users

Creeping pings? Does that mean pings that slowly creep upward until something bad happens? Especially prevalent on Passworded servers?(ie. the MGI server)
Sounds to me like it's not entirely Sprints problem Haig. It kinda sounds like there is something that either has been messed up all along or got messed up in one of the previous patches.
I geuss we shall see when the patch gets released.
