  • Oh no it's Tribes!

    I Downloaded the new drivers (PDesk version 6 for my G400max) and some old OpenGL problems with Tribes are reappearing.

    Bad framerate - well, this problem's always been there. 15-FPS average.

    Bad texturing - Terrain looks like a crazy dance floor; inconsistant textures being swapped around.

    I have the Opengl32.dll file ("TurboGL") in my Tribes directory. Even though Tribes has been discussed to the death already, is there any way to fix this? If Tribes is so glide-dependant, would using a glide emulator work (or is that a bad idea...)?

    In my Tribes ClientPrefs.cs file, here are my OpenGL settings.

    $pref::OpenGL::AlwaysRGBA = "False";
    $pref::OpenGL: ontBuildMipMaps = "True";
    $pref::OpenGL::NoAddFade = "False";
    $pref::OpenGL::NoMipmapping = "False";
    $pref::OpenGL::NoPackedTextures = "True";
    $pref::OpenGL::NoPalettedTextures = "true";
    $pref::OpenGL::Use32BitTex = "False";

    Any help would be appreciated
    Thanks in advance
