  • Unreal Tournament in Win2k.... some probs

i've got some probs with Unreal Tournament.
    Got a G400MAX and Win2k.

with the original version, 4.00, i got freezes at some points, usuall when changing resolutions and sometimes when loading leveles. The sound is still playing, that is, it's not looping, so everything's no frozen.

I upgraded to 4.05(the version i've been running under win98 w/o probs). at least it seems like the freezings have gone away, but sometimes when i exit UT i get a "Program has caused an error and will be closed" box.

Will 4.13 or 4.20 fix this maybe?
just like to know before i spend time getting them.

    Any reports apriciated.
    Thanks

Weird. I've never had a prob except with earlier versions that were unpatched and when I ran on RC2. Are you using the full version of NT5? Try reinstalling UT and installing the latest patch.

well 4.00 is the original version, i only had the 4.05 patch, and it cured the freezes(i think)...

not too sure, so i got the 4.20(latest) patch now, im gonna do some testing later.

      Hope it's fixed.
Never had any probs in Win98 so...

Nope, single cpu. No probs at all with games like Q3, NFS5, Drakan...

installed the 4.20 patch yesterday, seems just the same as the 4.05, it still crashes sometimes when i exit, "program has caused an error and has to be restarted".

Could it be the soundcard drivers? I've got an SB live value, using the drivers that came with win2k.

i had a similar prob with NFS4 in Win98 when i was using the LiveWare 1.0...
