NFS5 demo problems

It kicks back to desktop when i click "race" button (I hear the engine starting).

I also tried trainer.exe. Kicks back to desktop when i click the "quick race..." button.

Editing dx7z.dll doesn't help either.

I'm running the 5.52 drivers.

Anybody have a suggestion?

This is the only game I'm having problems with. UT Q3 and many other games run just fine.

Yeah, happened to me sometimes. The interesting thing is that it doesn't happen to me after a restart, but only after a longer period of time. For example, if I started the demo, raced the track, then quit back to win and decided I would like to play again, it was almost always a no go. But then I clocked the G400 a tiny bit lower (like 5 MHz - still overclocked, but less than before) and the problem went away. If you are o/cing, you might try to play the game with your cpu/G400 on 'factory settings'. Or get bigger fans.
