G400 MAX & Expendable Problems - Any solutions? (IN)
OK, I finally went & bought me a G400 Max. Now I install & get the Tech Demo working - Great stuff. Nice grahics/speed. So I decide to try the included game with bump mapping. Ah now I wast 2Hrs playing with the damn thing to try & get it to work, but nothing. I click "Play" & then a DDERROR_NOTENOUGHVIDMEM error thing. Excellent. The card has 32Megs & the comp has 192Megs. Hmm, so I try the lowest rez with the lowest quality & the same. Are they really saying that you need 1Gig of memory for the lowest Rez or is it knackered?
Strangely None of the Function keys work in the tech demo (The self/auto movement works only). I tried messing in the bios, video cache/etc.. Nothing worked. I am on a Gigabyte board & the bios shows no Arpeture Size. Resources shows this "Memory Range E8000000 - E9FFFFFF used by: Intel 82443BX Pentium(R) II Processor to PCI bridge (without GART support)

I got PII-400, 192Meg, 17" Mon, G400 MAX DH 32Meg, SBLive!, DirectX 7 (Which says AGP is disabled - WTF?), Win95, Graphix Bios 1.5 - 22, Display Driver 4.12.01.1520, PowerDesk 5.52.012, Net Card, 56k Modem (USR Ext).
