Age of Kings and W2K refresh rate

Hi,

when i set game to 800x600 in options i get 85Hz but when i set it to 1024x768 it goes to 60hz, my monitor support 1024x768 @ 85hz is there anyway to change this?

I tried dxdiag set to 85hz (bypass default) but no luck.

If its anything like AOE2...it really runs at 256 colors

Switch to 256 desktop, bump to 85hz or whatever, apply, switch back, launch game whenever.

Just a thought, took me 6 months or so to figure that out with aoe
