AVI_IO error message

I am running VT 1.5 and Powerdesk 5.15 on a Marvel. When I try a test capture using AVI_IO (trial version)I get an error message that it is not able to initialize for capture. I have a similar problem with VideoWave II. Vidcap and PC-VCR capture OK. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks for any help.

I get this message sometimes to. What I found out is have the camcorder running and before trying to capture go to the video format and reselect Matrox MJPEG and then try and capture. This has usually worked for me. Sometimes I have to exit out and re-enter and first thing is to reenter the mgpeg settings. For that aspect it's a pain but on my system I can set it for 29,97fps and keep audio sync. which I couldn't do with ulead capture and the RR capture doesn't let one select the frame rate (mine always ran about 30.020fps)
