  • G400 Max, Regedit and the PD Uninstall Util

Can you only see the old Matrox driver bits you have to remove in Regedit when in Safe Mode?

Does the PD Uninstall do all of the necessary deleting for you if you're running 5 series drivers?

The PD Uninstall does a very thorough job of cleaning out your registry of ever knowing that you had a Matrox video card installed. Sometimes I get upset with it being too thorough. (i.e., I'm updating from 5.3 to 5.41 drivers, so I first use the uninstaller and it wipes out all of my previous Matrox settings and Matrox registry hacks that I made.)

I've always run the PD uninstaller in normal mode and it has always done an excellent job of uninstalling and cleaning up after itself. Matrox gets bonus points for their uninstaller. I think that it works for uninstalling PD4 and PD5.
