Can I play mpeg2 files with bundled dvd player of G400?

Is it possible to play my own mpeg2 (NOT DVD!) video on G400 using its DVD player, or I need to use another program?

Standalone Cinemaster player accepts only DVD content.

try powerdvd 2 its very good and can play vob and mpeg2 and vcd

Can I say the answer for my question is NO?

PowerDVD has:
NTSC number of lines on PAL movies by default. I have to resize its window manually to normal number of lines.
Not enough speed for smooth playback of my own MPEG2 files on Celeron 464 and G200.
Occasional problems with interlaced and coded in field mode MPEG2 files.

The other software decoders also have thier own "illnesses". I could not check Cinemaster engine because it does not accept plain MPEG2.

So, shall I decide not to buy G400 dual head and keep my G200 + Hollywood+ cards in use?
I am interested in my own MPEG2 files playback on TV or PC screen, but not DVD titles (YET).

try xing 2.03, and varodvd tehy night work better, admitedly you some power for powerdvd like the name suggests.
