  • G400 and V2

I think I recall reading somewhere the issues that one person was having with 2 V2's and a G400 in the same box. I can't remember if there were any special considerations or details in order to ensure that everything worked properly (G400=D3D/V2=Glide) so I thought I'd post and ask if anyone else remembers off hand without having to dive into the archives.
    TIA

The problem comes in if you try to load the TurboGL drivers for the G400. They do not get along well with Voodoo drivers.

As long as you run the normal drivers, and leave TurboGL out of the picture, you should be ok...

            Hi Redsand
I believe it's me who posted that message. (I can be wrong though).
In fact, I'm able to make both cards (well, all three of them ) work simultaneously: G400 accelerates D3D & OGL (via TurboGL), V2 SLI run Glide. The cards will work fine together if you disable D3D acceleration in V2 reference driver (supplied by 3dfx). If you're using other v2 drivers you can download some shareware utilities that do the same thing.
