interesting ... especially since OpenGL does not support multimonitor mode.

Maybe you could try to configure one instance to use a Joystick ?

hiddensettings, I was wondering the same thing, but I was unable to figure out how you could give equal priority to each device on the bus. If you can figure this out, please let me know...

Something interesting about the opengl not supporting two monitors:

When you use the turbogl, it can! I had Q3 running on one monitor with the other one displaying the desktop while using the turbogl. of course, this doesn't work without the turbogl...

            Phage,

Actually Win98 doesnt support OpenGL with two monitors. Yeah you can play Q3 with the second monitor showing the desktop, but you cant get OpenGL-acceleration to work with BOTH monitors.

I have noticed that with Pro/Engineer, 3D-modelling software that uses OpenGL. I can use it with multidisplay, but then it doesnt use OpenGL and the performance SUCKS. Just reboot and turn the multidisplay off, and 3d-models turn SMOOOOTH. =) And even if i have the multidisplay on and turn the second monitor off, win98 cant use OpenGL. Hopefully i could use multidisplay with different resolutions in W2K AND use OpenGL.

I know that now i cant use different resolutions and thats the only reason for me to stay with Win98. 15" and 19" monitors. =)
And im NOT going to use my 19" with 1024x768@7x .. Its just great at 1600x1200@82. =)

Ps. Really off topic, but just trying to make a point. =)

you have q3 and desktop ok
but who get keyboard input ,
              q3 or desktop ?
I still had not time for try with joy ...
              but another easy way is
to write a prg that switch more
time in a second between two q2 as
active task so it's windows that makes
the work for the keys ..
              it's not a perfect solution ,
but I'm sure that it works
