FIFA2000 frames rates!!!

I`m just enquiring about a problem im experiencing with any matrox G400 drivers after 5.20,
which i hope you can solve or at least pass on to someone so that this sitution is
recongnised. So before i continue here is my system spec:-
-PII 450 MMX
-128Mb RAM
-Matrox G400 Max 32Mb Dual Head English(current driver 5.41)
-10.2 Gd HD and 2.3 Gb 2nd HD
-Creavitve Soundblaster PCI64
-Gravis Grip Multiport
-Windows 98
And this brings me to my problem, which is occuring with EA games (NFSHS) but by far the worse is FIFA2000. Im experience exptionaly bad frame rates in the game especialy with larger stadiums
even with all detail turn off ,and not just in high end resolutions but even in 640*480!!!
which im sure youll agree should run super smooth in software mode with my system.
I only get this problem with drivers after 5.20 ,but when i install 5.20 the game runs perfectly.
So is there any help,reason or advice you gave give on this ,obviously i cannot keep re-installing
driver to suit games accordingly.
