  • why does fps drop in action

i like playing games like halflife and UT.
i get a frame rate of about 40-50 but as soon as theirs alot of action, eg 2 on 2 bombing and gunshooting battle in Counterstrike, the fps drops to like 5-8.
Is it something to do with my graphics aperture size, if so what should it be, its 256 right now.

Actually it has nothing to do with your AGP size and has to do with the CPU and using a G200. I'm not going to shoot down the G200 (as I have one myself) but you are expecting miracles from your rather outdated hardware.
