my fps on my k6-2-400/g400max system are not very good. i've seen faster one's on other comparable systems.

    ---demo001---
    -graphics: high quality (preset)
    -sound: high quality, a3d: off
-game options: all on, but vsync, simple icons off

    FPS: 30,2
same settigns at 1024: 19,8 fps

    with a3d on i get a slow-down of 25% !!!
    .....ugghhh

Switch from trilinear to bilinear filtering. You should get a nice jump. Dynamic lighting and the "mark on walls" settings are bigtime framerate killers as well. If you disable either or both of them, you should see a nice jump.

A3D is also a killer. Just about everyone is shocked when they enable it and benchmark.

Are you using the second version of TurboGL, which support K-6's and Celerons?

The G400 scales very well with fast processors. Unfortunately, the opposite is true with slower CPU's.
