  • G400 OpenGL & vsync wanted

Is there any way to turn _ON_ vsync under OpenGL based games? Matrox tech support forwarded to this forum, because they can't help. So, please help me! I'm really disapointed without vsync...

The matrox Tweak Utility that is used for overclocking also has a feature to disable or enable vysnc in opengl and direct3d at the same time. Hope this helps

No, The Matrox Tweak Utility doesn't affects the OpenGL settings for vsync. It's only for DirectX... And why is "vsync off" the default setting??? Arrrgh....

      But, thanks anyway!

Probably because most people prefer it that way.

Anyway, I believe there is an option in Q3A's settings to turn vsync on/off.
Dunno about the other games though.

Copy these lines to your autoexec.cfg:

          set gl_ext_swapinterval "1"
          set gl_swapinterval "1"
          set gl_finish "1"

          Have fun !

OK, i've tried everything (i know all about gl_swapinterval, etc..). But the tearing effect still on the screen
IMHO G400's OpenGL driver (TurboGL also) ignores these variables...

            Argh, never mind...

            Thanks for quick answers!

PS: I'm using PowerDesk version 5.41.008 and TurboGL version 1.00.002
