'wide screen' 856x480 res

Saw this in Q3Arena as a choice for res and it is also listed in the G400 monitor settings page. However, choosing that res in Q3 doesn't produce a full screen display. Anyone else have experience with this?

Now that I've finished typing, I guess this could've been posted to the Games section...oh well

That resolution is intended for wide-screen monitors like the 24" Sony W900.

Works fine with the aforementioned montor, although in the end we still preferred 800x600. 600 pixels compared to 480 vertically makes it look so much better, even if 800x600 isn't full-screen on a wide-screen display.

it won't go full screen but if you can handle playing in a window you can increas your \cg_fov much more than normal and still having it look like a real game not like your playing through the eyes of some mad alien : )

Can be useful to see more out the sides, shame it doesn't do full screen though because i like my games full screen and so i don't get the extra fov benifits : )
