  • 3D Mark 2000 contest

Lets have a round of 3D Mark 2000 contest and see what the scores come around to. I just got my G400 Max and I would like to see how it performs against others.

    Shall we say

800x600 all settings to 16-bit and using software T&L , triple buffering.

Post your details and what card and drivers.

    Happy Holidays!

      Hi Kristian,

Let's at least run 'em at 1024 X768...I haven't dropped down to 800 X 600 for ANYTHING in ages!

Maybe we should standardize our 3dMark2000 scores on 1024x768x32x32bit textures, 32 bit z-buffers, triple frame buffers and D3D software T&L. I would suggest this even though only the 16 bit gives you a CPU score since this is what most of us use in the real world. And specify what Powerdesk you are using. But only 5.41 works correctly with the benchmark.

I recommend using the default settings because nobody "plays" a benchmarking suite, and, most importantly, some of us are getting older, have had more than a few drinks this weekend, and will have long forgotten your settings by the time we closed Explorer or Navigator and double-clicked on the 3DMark2000 icon.

Good point Paul. Default it is. I'll run them again and post later. We did this once, but I didn't see many K6III scores to compare with.
