1/ TurboGL is a reduced OpenGL ICD that only has the function games requires. It's also specially optimised for our nifty little proc (3dNow/SSE).
2/Just check that you have at least powerdesk 5.3 and then install the turbogl (available at the MURC)
3/Not sure, something like: Quake (1/2/3), Half-Life,... It's written in the TurboGl readme
4/You don't have to select anything
    5/Speed, Speed and more Speed
6/I don't see any downs ;-) because it just bring you more speed without taking too much in the quality department.

    Try it and love it

    Hope to have helped you

First off - TurboGL will not work with the drivers from the CD that comes w/the card - it need drivers (PowerDesk) v.5.30 or higher.

You DO need to set up your game to use OpenGL before using TurboGL (not the Glide, or 3DFX one).

      Good luck!
P.S. anywho: even with default OpenGL
from drivers 5.41 you can get acceptable frame rates.

I have a question: Once my Q3(with TGL) crashed to windows(I've fixed this), the screen are very bright and almost everything is white. I adjust the desktop color management so it's normal again.
Can someone tell me why TGL changed the color settings of desktop, thanks a lot!

          Hi Kylince,

TGL didn't change your desktop really, what happened is that when you go into OpenGL mode, there is different D draw modes being called to your graphics card to output, so when you crashed quake, the program minimized but didn't return the calls back from OpenGL.

BTW, I have also had this problem with OpenGL apps in Win98 and Win2000 when my system gets overheated (My tower is in a desk enclosure and sometimes I forget to open the doors), and the way I got the desktop back to normal was to re-enter Q3 and exit properly, then my desktop would be normal. And this would happen with TGL or ICD, and have also had it happen on a GeSpot I was "testing".

Now I have PD ver 5.41 and the new TGL driver 5,41,6,1

I just got UT (Great game!!) when I play it with openg driver (32bits), at the UT desktop I get black horisontal lines going down. but if I play UT with 16bits I don't get the lines.

When playing the game I get periodik slow downs, It's like playing directly of the harddisk without a Vid-card.

              Gaming @ 70fps,bam!! stop! Gaming @ 70fsp bam!! stop!!

It just won't hold the frame rate @ 32bits and 16bits

but with d3d it works fine.

It's terrible!! not gaming @ a higher speed.

I've allready set the aperture size to 256mb.So thats (I think) is not the problem.

Thank you allready for your trouble!

Don't play UT in OGL. Did you notice when you selected OGL in the game it told you it is "experimental"?
