Trouble with Test Drive 5

Hi All,
I have just installed a G400 32MB Dual Head OEM card, and am having problems running several games that worked okay on my old Permedia2. Test Drive 5 is particularly bad -- dark, very blocky, and lots of artifacts. Also, with bus mastering on, TD5 and Collin McRae Rally lock up hard when I have my joystick enabled (Gravis Blackhawk Digital). Is anyone running Test Drive 5 on the G400 successfully?

PII 300
AL440LX Motherboard
G400 on IRQ 9 (not shared)
Creative Labs AudioPCI64V sound card--IRQ 10
2940UW SCSI controller -- IRQ 5
Windows 95B

TD5 runs almost fine on my system. Actually it runs a little too choppy than it should.
this game had exactly the same behaviour on my previous g200, but apart that no graphic probs (the car shadow is a little funny)

Directx 7, latest pdesk, g400 vanilla
