  • Mayday!! Mayday!!

    I have a problem
I put my G400 Max into my P2 333, 128mb ram, soyo 6kb mob, Traxdata CDRW 2240, creative awe 64 (ISA), 24x cd rom, 4.3g HD.
And I could not play all games in D3D or OpenGL.
I check the IRQ for the card, it is at 10 with no conflict.
    the DH work alrite.
What do I have to do??
How do I fix the problem?

To start, make sure the board is sitting properly in the AGP slot. This can be harder than it looks, and it is a very common problem.

Try openning your AGP aperture to 256 MB.

Your motherboard uses the Intel LX chipset, which has issues with many newer video cards. Apparently, the board doesn't supply enough power to the slot.

What exactly are the problems you're having?

When I load up the game say 'need for speed 3'...it loads then when the car screen comes up, it only opens a bit then the computer crash.
I load up Fifa 99, the players walking then hang and sometime the screen truns into many lines with mucise playing.
I try the Matrox Tech demo, it loads up and dead immediately after the screen of the house.
Is it something to do with the BIOS of my mob??
I use the lastest drvier and bios (5.41 and 1.15)

Try disabling Bus Mastering, verify your AGP settings (it must be on 1x).

        Hope this helps.

To see if you are running AGP 1X or 2X, download PCIlist from the MURC utilities.
