How can I turn off V-sync?

I'm playing a few games like Sim Theme Park, and Wheel of Time.

On those games I noticed that it doesn't matter which resolution I'm in, the game maintains a constant framerate. I was told that it's hindered by the Vsync option being turned on. Is this correct? And how do I turn off the Vsync? I'm using drivers 5.41.

I suspect your CPU is hindering you more than V-synch, but if you want to disable it, dowload the PD5 registry hacks or G400tweak from Murc
