Q3 Arena graphics!!!

I have just started playing Quake3 Arena on my PC, and i seem to be getting slight tearing in the graphics, i have a celery @500 and i have 5.41 drivers + the new TurboGL drivers, is anyone else having this prob?.
Oh! , i have a G400 32 D/H, all the setting are set to high by default, i have turned down the graphics detail but it still happens. any suggestion would be appreciated.
