  • ATTENTION: K6 and TGL users!

For those of you who want to use the new TurboGL with your K6 chip...

There is a known problem getting it to work on certain SS7 motherboards. If you experience no joy (grey screen, lockups) with the TurboGL, try them with the 5.30 drivers.

Matrox already knows about this issue, and are working to have it fixed in the next version...

How did you change the aperture size??? in the bios??? I think mine is set at 64MB too in the bios for i have 64MB ram but still the lockup and distortion on Q3. Did you switch back to 5.30???

Yeah I switched to 5.30 but could only get the turbogl to work when i had the bios apeture size set to either 64 or 128. 256 never allowed it to work. No apeture size worked when using the 5.41 drivers so I guess I have the bug Kruzin was talking about and will have to wait for the fix from matrox. Its ok because to play system shock 2 I have to use the 5.30s anyway

One thing I noticed with the old TGL and Q3A was that if you ran a D3D game, and then tried to run an OGL game it would give the white screen. If I rebooted, it ran great. Could be similiar to others reporting white/grey screens.

Will try this with the new TGL.
