Unreal Torny (Can you stop the intro loading?)

I was wondering if it is possible to stop the intro to UT loading at startup?

The game takes for ever to load even with a Quantum KA UDMA66 drive! The intro must be quite big, So if you can disable it at startup the game should load faster? Right??

Must be some smart dude out there that can help.

well, hitting the 'esc' key can help you skip some of it. i know, the lags in loading in ut are the only downside to it over q3a. and i am running them both from a new u2w quantum 10k drive.

You can skip the intro by changing a line in your UnrealTournament.ini file. The file is in the \unrealtournament\system folder. At the top of the file about six lines down is LocalMap=CityIntro.unr change this to LocalMap=UT-Logo-Map.unr
You still need to hit the esc key to get to the menu but this will skip the intro. I have heard the unreal level editor wont work right if you do this. Maybe they will add a feature to turn off the intro in the soon to be released patch.
