I have the same problem, and thought it was my computer, but I now think it is the game. Sometimes I am able to play with no problems, others I get the same error you get, but it always seems to happen at a time the textures would be manipulated. Will be trying the new (5.41) drivers tonight.

Installed the new drivers (5.41) and they did not help my problems with Driver. Went back to the configuration for Driver and changed it to 800x600 32bit color with Triple Buffering off. Was able to play as long as I wanted. Don't know why that help. I was using 1024x768x32 with triple buffer.

The only thing the new drivers did change with my original config was I no longer got any errors, just a 'plunk' from my speakers, a 5 second wait and back to the desktop with everything working fine.

Do you think it could be a triple buffering problem???

So far for me, it would be only with the game 'Driver', everything else that had an option for triple buffering works fine.
