  • I still can't get quake 2 and HL work

I am veeeery annoyed that I cant get Half-Life or quake 2 work with openGL.

I have those powerVR drivers for HL, but when I start hl with them there only comes a message that says " could not locate sgl.lib,
you may possibly not have installed properly your powerVR drivers, or they may not work fine"

and in Quake2 I get the same message.
I have installed Opengl icd:s and I have the latest drivers 5.41.

I cant use turbogl, cause I don't have PIII
    or athlon.

    My system is PII 350 , 128mb ram , and g400
    max (k00l).
I had an voodoo 2 before my g400.

First, I'll move this to the games forum, with all these others (sigh).

Then I will reply to your problems over there...

      PowerVR drivers?!?!?!

      Nonononono.

Those are ONLY for the old M3D card. It wil NEVER work with a G400.

The G400 has a real OpenGL ICD.

Delete any "OpenGL32.dll" from the game directory ONLY. The stock Windows OpenGL32.dll MUST me in the Windows\system folder. It should be the only OpenGL32.dll on your system. The G400 ICD is called "G400ICD.dll", and also belongs in the windows\system folder (which is where it is placed when installing the drivers).

In the game, select "default OpenGL" as your video mode.

Once you get those files straightened out, also make sure that you are in 16 or 32bit desktop, and do not have your desktop extended to any second display...
