  • Why should I upgrade from Marvel G200 to G400?

Will there be any extra features or improvements as far as video editing go to the Marvel G400? Everthing I have read so far talks about its improved Gaming graphics and it dual display, but I have yet to read anything really new about the editing.

    Hi Rishard,

I have not heard that the G400 Marvel offers any improvements in terms of video capture/editing/playback either. From what I've heard, it still uses the same components as the G200 Marvel for the video side of the card.

I'm waiting for the RT2000. That sounds like it will offer a real improvement... but I guess it will also cost quite a bit more.

The main advantage is the presence of the G400 graphics chip for faster non-video activities.

Anyone know what the RT2000 might cost? I am about ready to buy the Marvel G400 and maybe the RT2000 might be priced close to the Marvel G400? I would hate to make a mistake and misout on getting the best one for the best price.

Isn't it something like $2500? That's over most people's home video budgets, but is still real cheap for a professional quality tool.

            Hi !

In their announcement the price was 1295$ and that´s really cheap for a card of this class:

You can find more info about the RT2000 at:
