    Hey all-

    This is strange behavior: When I play a multiplayer game of UT, the game playability really sucks- the fps goes to 1 per 5 seconds or so (Direct3D mode, G200, P2-400 MHz), but when I play against bots, everything is just fine. I'm on a 56K modem connected at 53K, ping times 200-275 or so- which has been just fine for Half Life, Q2 and others.

    The UT demo did this as well. I don't think it's caused solely by my modem... Any ideas? Thanks...

    I figured it out...

    I had to uninstall WebTV- this problem is documented on some of the Unreal websites...

    I'm also finding some of the ping times for servers are quite off when UT is gathering the list of servers- if I right click on a server and ask it to requery the ping time, I get a more accurate reading- some that first show up to be ~200 turn out to be more like 600. I have to do this w/ various servers until I can find one that is truly ~200...
