Go to the video options in the game, and select "Default OpenGL" as the video mode. It should be as simple as that. If not, tell us more about what's happening....

      Hey,

Half life works great for me in D3D. But when i run the game in opengl, the game menu stays in the upper left hand corner (and looks really distorted). I have the 5.30 drivers and half life 1.0.1.5 (opposing forces version).

      Anybody (kruzin) help out?

      system specs follow

VSync should be normally on I thought with the G400.. hrmm.. I know the MGA tweak tools and the Matrox tweak tool allow it to be turned off.

the v synch in the options and tweaks allows you to change direct 3d v synch,
but opengl games usually have it in software?
also when your playing with v-sych disabled what refresh rate is best for a monitor to minimise the flicker?

I had a similar problem and had to force AGP 1 and it now works sweet. Question why did I need to do that? Well anyway current games usally do not required the x2 so should cause no problems. Symptons Game works fine in D3D Freezes hard in Turbo GL..Good Luck
