G400 problems with Quake 3 Arena Test

Quake 3 Arena crashes each time I attempt to start it. My system:
Pentium III 500
256 meg
Sound Value Live! with latest drivers
G400 Dual head with latest drivers
GLturbo patch installed.

Any ideas how to fix?

This system will play Quake II
