  • Unreal Tournament Rocks!!!!

Got the UT-demo, it totally rocks!!!
Looks great in 1024X768 D3D and the action is fantastic. I´m not a big fan of first person shoters but this one was great fun.
Get it, play it, love it!!!

Yup ! I prefer to play the Insta-Gib-Deathmatches.
It´s very cool to blast your opponents away with this funny weapon. What a bloody mess...

I must agree, although I prefer normal deathmatch. Can't WAIT till the game is released. I want my Flak Cannon.

              Voyager:

Dude, you have problems. I'm getting 50-60fps on a P3 450 with a non-Max non-overclocked G400. It should easily run full screen. Something's fishy BIG time.

Voyager: Do you have DirectX 7.0 installed? I was having the same problems until I did that. (aka, really slow, and only in a window.) Works fine now (mostly).

question though: I've got a G200 and though it looks really pretty (mmm.... nice textures...), it is rather slow. Averages between 14 and 22 or so fps. Anyone else have rates for a G200? Its on a k6-2 350, no overclocking of anykind (should I try it?) and 128 megs of ram. 640x480 resolution, D3D, medium textures, low character textures, 5-7 bots, and I haven't tried much multi-player.

                great game though.

I'm running okay, with similar settings. Try 640x400, see if that helps. Also, this thing seems to be a memory hog, have you turned off everything else before starting the game.
It still gets a little choppy when things get heavy, though.

                    Voyager:

What kind of mobo are you using? Maybe you need to set something in the BIOS, like setting the video caching mode to USWC or something.

Get it from there. It worked fine for me, but use at your own risk. And I would reccommend doing a manual search of the registry and system files after it is done just to be sure it got everything.

(PowerDesk will complain after you restart, but it will still work.)

How much stuff do you have running in the background. I've found that it and seti-at-home together do not work well. Best to have just a minimal set of files running.

hi, i got it and used it
it was a lot more comlicated then i anticipated i thought it would just be a one-click afair, oh well
it took a while but i put 6.1 back on
but in direct detup it says all my files are old, and all my sound related stuff is still dx 7
i tried unreal tournament and it ran same as before only this time in a window.

                            i ran 3dmax and i got 3849
                            im running a p3 450@475 128mg of ram
win98se and via 4in1 drivers on my
                            jetway 2000 BX200 motherbaord

                            i installed Dx7 again and i get 3920 in 3dmax

                            is this about right?

                            in the backgroun i have
                            explorer
                            systray
                            ahqtb
                            pdesk
                            thats it

                            so what should i do...
also ive noticed that some d3d games have what i like to call the matrox judder
its smooth enough but it just seems to judder everyother second, does any know what im talking about or how ro fix it
and also wheel of time does look good, but its the unreal engine so the performance is poo
                            can anyone help me please.....
