  • How to disable D3D in V2 and G200 setup?

I recently put in a pair of V2s in addition to my G200 but I couldn't
figure out how to disable the D3D in the V2. In the old driver,
there is a check box you can check to disable the D3D in the V2
driver but I couldn't find the equivalent in the latest driver i.e. 2.56.
The conflict became apparent when I tried to run an old 16bit program
    (Lotus 123 R5), whenever I clicked on Range/Version, the G200.drv gave
    me a gpf.
If I disable the V2s by creating a new hardware profile in windows,
the whole thing froze when I click on Start/Settings/Control
Panel/Display, I had to hold down the power button for 4 secs so that
    it would power down.

You need to get the old control panel back.

You're looking for a file named 3dfxv2ps.dll, and it should be 971kbytes in size.

It was known as the non-Windows certified control panel on 3dfx's site. I've not been able to find it recently on their site. If you have the old drivers, get the old control panel out and use it.

    Just my $0.02
