Quake 2 Benchmarks on AMD K6-2

Hi,

Ronald Phillips has asked me to place the following benchmarks on the board for your perusal - he can't post them cos his work won't let him

Mine on a K6-2 400 are shown afterwards...

Desktop 16bit with 3.54 Drivers (Not Overclocked) Even when overclocked
to
120/110 I only get a
4-5 fps increase in all resolutions.....looks like this card has reached
it's limits.
The TNT1 uses a 24bit Z-buffer for Opengl. Look at those crappy 32bit
scores! But the TNT1
kicks the G400's ass in 800x600 and below in 16bit.....on a K6 system at
least with no TURBOGL....ARRRRGGGHHHH!!!!!! Also look at the performance
increase with and without 3DNOW on the TNT and the G400...hmmmmmm
it looks like the ordinary Opengl ICD that comes with the Matrox drivers
doesn't use 3DNOW
as much as the TNT does. I want my TURBOGL for the K6!!!!!

My machine is only an AMD K6-2 400 though, and is not overclocked.

Hope this helps... I do intend to get an Athlon at some point, and I will
be very interested to see how it fares with that!!!
Oh, and I am running the 5.30 version of the Matrox drivers.
