Anybody have problems with G400 and Need for Speed High Stakes?

My friend just bought a G400 32meg and NFS:HS running D3D on the G400 seems to be a little ugly...meaning it doesn't look as good. I use to own a Canopus Pure3D Voodoo 1 and NFS:HS running Glide with NFS:HS looked a lot better than the G400.

Is this a acceleration flaw? Thanks.

NFS HS is a glide game. Ok, it supports D3D but EA praises glide and most of their games usually have more features in glide than in D3D.

make sure he's not running in software renderer. Go to C:\...\NFSHS\3D Setup\ it will give you the choice between Direct3D and software. choose D3D. even if it says your card doesn't support it, ignore it. plays fine on my computer, graphics are awesome and speed is good

The demo looks awesome on my g200. You shouldn't have a problem. Are you running it full screen? I know my MS games start in a window and look like crap. I have to hit F4 twice to get it right
