  • Half-life (not matrox related) question

    Hey guys

Now I know there are a lot of HL players among us MURCers. My question is, how exactly do I get past the level which has the platforms floating in space? Is there some sort of key to use a jet-pack for jumping? The level I am speaking of is the one where you teleport out of the labs into space...

    Thanks.

    Rahul

Lets see if I can remember this. It's been a while since I beat the game.

Um, if I remember correctly, you are on a platform, and theres a bunch of other platforms floating around slightly lower than you. You have to long jump from platform to platform until you get to the big island.
On this island, there should be 3 huge spikes sticking out of the side that are evenly spaced. You have to drop onto one of these spikes. You can then hop onto the lower level.
There should be a little cavern somewhere around on this level. You go in and you'll find a room with a bunch of assorted objects and three, um, things fluttering around in a cage(I think, they may be free). Anyway, you have to break the cage. There are also three, stands I geuss you could call them. You have to activate them like you would a switch. Then just wait and you'll know what to do.

If this isn't the level you're talking about just post again and I'll see if can remember the other levels.

    good luck

You need to do a "super" jump on this level. Just before being transported, you should have picked up a "super" jump module for your suit. To do this jump, you run forward then crouch and jump in quick succession. You will literally fly to the platforms. Once you "super" jump to the first two, you will be floating above the platform with the spikes and then you need to time your jumps down one platform at a time until you reach the surface. Hope this helps.
...but mamma, that's where the fun is.
