  • Matrox G400 16MB support SSE/SIMD instructions?

I'm thinking about getting a OEM version of Matrox G400 16MB AGP for 120 dollars US. I currently use a matrox mystique 220 and 2D is good but 3D is totally weak.

I heard that the G400 will soon support Pentium 3's SSE/SIMD instructions. Is this true? Has matrox made the support yet? My system is as follows:

    Intel PentiumIII 500MHz
    64MB SDRAM (66MHz)
    US Robotics 56K Modem
    Diamond MX300
    Matrox Mystique 220 w/4MB SGRAM

Also...does anyone know, should the OEM of the G400 come with a fan or heatsink?

The current 5.30 drivers come with the "TurboGL" mini ICD for OpenGL games like Q2/3 that is specificly tuned for P3/K7 3d instructions...
