  • filtering?

Anyone notices that certain 2D pictures like disclaimers or company logos before the game starts are supposed to be filtered so they look less jagged on the edges? I don't use to care about them but begin to notice that some games' 2D interface screen look very rough as they are using low resolution bitmaps so I wonder if the hardware is supposed to filter to make them look better but for some strange reason doesn't (e.g. bilinear, tri in 3D scenes) Thanks.

Do you own a Voodoo card ?

If so it's probably because you are used to looking through Voodoo glasses....... Praise the Voodoo god, king of filters and blurriness

    (just joking)

Hehe nope, I never own a Voodoo card, but thanks for the reply. Because there is some scene with my old ATI card that is filtered, and when I upgrade to G400 the same scene is not. Strange thing is, when I put my old card in as experiment, the result is no filter, so I assume somehow something was changed, maybe a registry, just guessing.
