  • Half-life ---- OpenGL/D3D?

    Hello there G400-lovers...

    A problem...
When I play Half-life whith my new G400 MAX it looks great in D3D, but in OpenGL-mode it´s not as good looking. For example the lights are not as nice. Why is that, the OpenGL should look better than D3D, shouldn´t it.
Is there a patch or something...?

When you start the game, one of several files can be executed, depending on your video mode. These files are located in halflife\valve\hw. There can be files called D3D.cfg and OpenGL.cfg. If the contents of these files is different (or missing), you could be getting different visual settings.

Personally, I think OGL looks much better than the D3D wrapper in the game...
