driver confusion

Okay, I am begining to get a little confused...


Is pd 5.30 coming out today?
Is our version of DX7 a beta?????

As to the PD drivers coming out today, we can
only hope, although I don't think anyone's heard any reason why they shouldn't.

The DX7 that's currently generally available is retail, although a few days prior to the actual release a release candidate was circulating around. I think it was mentioned here, too...

see- I thought so- but an artilce I was reading today said, that the full DX7 was just implemented in the latest build of W2k. which strikes me as weird. It said that everything release currently was a "fullbeta" for testers, and found it to work well- and that Dx7 retail will be release shortly..... maybe the site was fuct. Anyway- so it should be release today huh?

Maybe you can answer me this...



I am using a V2 SLI...should I even get the new drivers?

/pub/mga/millg400/win95_98/latest directory.

What game is that from Digital?

Of course I still want the turboGL :-). If it lets me run HL without having to disable the second display, I'll be a happy camper. The V2 SLI drivers I'm using right now are a bit touchy (getting new V2's from Creative sometime in the next two weeks, though).

All the previous versions of Windows 2000 had beta versions of DX7, and as the final version of DX7 has now been released, it is now being put into the new builds of Win 2K.

ice that game should tweak you G400 users out... its new screen shots from FAKK2 and man, there OPENGL shots.. I know that my 3DFX wont be able to look that great- but from what Hexagon said is that it is a tweaked Q3 engine...and OGL is main API... that should make you gus happy.... gorgeous screens can be seen@ http://www.fakkyou.com/screens/ingame.html

I'll believe those shots when I see them running at a sustained 25+FPS, average of about 40FPS.

No turboGL today, apparently. Something about it being a Canadian holliday and short staff, yadda, yadda, yadda.

Oh well, maybe Tuesday next week?

These are actual in game shots... While they wont dicslose WHICH card is being used, it is in fact a FULL OGL ICD... Im assuming a GFORCE or a TNT2. I just thought with the graphics I have seen from the G400, that you guys would be tweaked. There is alot of silence around the game for some reason, it looks like everquest in HEll....

I just got a response from Matrox's PR lady, she said "It's possible we will have something at the end of the day"

So I guess there is still a chance.

I sure hope the drivers come out later today. Also I think F.A.K.K 2 will be a beautiful disaster.
