  • Couple questions about G400

I just got a vanilla G400 dual head. Installed the 5.25 drivers and the Matrox tweak utility. My questions are these.

What's a safe % to OC these things (I'm at 115.5 and it seems fine)?

    How do you disable vsync?

How do you know if you are at AGP 4x,2x etc.?

    Sysconfig:

    PII 300 SL2W8 OCed to 558 MHz, 2.2v, w/ Alpha P125 fan/HS

    20" and 19" Sony trinitrons

    Abit BX6-2
    128 MB Micron -8E PC100

IBM 14.4 GB GXP IDE 7200 rpm.

Thanks in advance for any help here.

    Hi Max

I have a G400 single output and i have overclocked it to 120%, any more than that and the dislay becomes corupted.. (small black dots that appear soon after you chage the speed)

I tried adding a small fan from a old pentium i had but that failed to improve the overclocking of the card, the memory doesn't have any heatsink(s).

The graphics card will be using AGP x2 until/ or if you get a camino chipset mobo that supports it..

As for the vsync, i don't know how to but if i find out i'll let you know..
