  • Wrong fields in the frame...

    Hello...

I am having trouble playing back one particular clip. It is a minute and half package (quick news story) I captured from a dvcpro professional deck. Quality is set to high, and I need this level...

The clip breaks up at the same point each time I try to play it back. Other files play fine. When looking at the fields in MSP 5.2 it seems that each cut happens in the middle of a frame. Each cut appears as alternating lines of each picture...

Is there a way to fix the file in MSP by re-rendering it?

What could have caused the problem?

    Take care,
    Scott

I suspect that you have dropped one field in a frame which causes frame jitter. I get this occasionaly from my VHS VCR.

The best solution I have found (from someone else in this news group) is find the offending frame +/- a second, cut the video clip before and after and place a blank title frame from CGI or some other package in the overlay track for the same duration as the offending clip and re-render those few seconds. It seems to clean up the clip Ok.

If thats not the solution maybe some one else may have an answer.
